Prejudice is essentially bias, an evaluative thought process that leads to a preference that effects emotions, behaviour and reasoning based on preconceived opinions on a particular group (Fiske, 1998) and is usually negative (Czopp, Mark and Walzer, 2014). The issue of prejudice and leading on from that racism, is undeniably an important social issue. In the last couple of decades there has been an overall conscious effort to progress race relations with concepts such as diversity initiatives, and affirmative action resulting in a decrease of blatant prejudice. (Zárate, Quezada, Shenberger, and Lupo 2014). While it can be agreed that racism is declining (Greenwald & Banaji, 1995), it is still a prevalent social concern and we have still not resolved the issue. Therefore it is imperative that we continue to understand and research prejudice in our community
