Essay in regards to case study "Walking the Blurry Line" Received 80%, average was 65%. Comments: Just FYI, I marked your updated proposal sent through email rather than the one on moodle. Your summary was adequate -- it explains the case at a very high level. In terms of improvement, i would focus more on the challenging issues than the background. Your writing is very good -- clearly you put much effort in crafting your analysis. I liked the fact that you went and looked for the Donaldson article on ethics which is really a classic on this topic. Your dicussion on long/short term was interesting, but i'm not quite convinced. While the Chinese culture is in general quite long term, but the attitude and style of the SOEs in this negotiation did not seem to reflect that. Rather there has been critiicsm on these organizations being quite profit and short-term driven. That being said, the analysis was still quite distinctive. While you alluded to the relative nature of ethics, i wished you could focus on that issue more and less on the long/short term aspect. The learnings/recommendations were built on and extended the analysis, which is also quite effective. Overall, great job. "
