1. Center the beam in between two supports. Measure the length, depth, width, thickness, corner radius of the beam and distances between hooks. 2. Place two dial gauges on each top of the hook, and one dial gauge on the middle span of the beam to measure the deflection of the beam. 3. Record each reading the dial gauges when the loads adding from 0lb to 50lb (10lb each time) on hook 1 and 3, and take the strain gauge measurement at the same time. Reduce the load by 10lb each time, record readings of the three dial gauges, take the strain gauge measurement.
