This research looks at the importance of physical appearance in the workforce. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationships between physical appearance and societal benefits in the workforce. It was hypothesized that individuals with good physical appearance tend to have more benefits and with an increased probability of success in the workforce. This study uses a series of questionnaires for a group of participants, whom attempted the survey anonymously. Participants supported the hypothesis with a significant number of respondents believing that one’s self esteem could be improved through physical appearances and of which, most of them weighed appearance as an important contributing factor to one’s level of success in society. The results were rationalized by factors such as their cultural background and demographics i.e. age.
