Enthalpy of Vaporization is also known as the (latent) heat of vaporisation or heat of evaporation, is the energy that must be added to the substance, typically a liquid, to transform a quantity of that substance into a gas or vice-versa. The enthalpy of vaporisation is a function of the pressure at which that transformation takes place. There are several factors affecting the enthalpy of vaporisation of a substance. The factors are the temperature of the liquid phase, the number of moles of the liquid phase and vapour pressure of liquid phase.
