Due to the nature of modern industries - fast technological change, hyper-competition, globalisation and informational revolution – the structural approach of strategy is becoming increasingly inapplicable (Farjoun 2007). Hence, detractors of strategy believe that strategy is dead as it is no longer relevant for an increasing number of companies (Leavy 2014). However, I disagree with the statement that “Everyone knows that strategy is dead” and believe that strategy is still very much alive.
