In “Managing a Global Team: Greg James at Sun Microsystems”, James, the global manager, is responsible for his customer implementation team of 45. The team consists of groups in the United States (US), France, India, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with the latter two being respectively led by customer service managers Ashok, and Nazr. The team had failed to respond to a customer system outage, due to a breakdown of cooperation within. The team had issues with communication.
