A Fullerene is an allotrope of carbon where the molecule consists of carbon atoms that are bonded together by single and double covalent bonds, this allows its structure to be that of a closed or a partially closed cage made of hexagonal rings made of carbon atoms. The fullerene molecule is present in many different shapes and sizes; however, it is most commonly present as a hollow sphere, ellipsoid and tube (Admin, 2021). The most abundant and most stable form of fullerene is Buckmaster fullerene (C60), which consists of 60 carbon atoms arranged in a spherical structure, which resembles that of a soccer ball as shown in figure 1 (Thakral & Mehta, 2006).
