A concept design of a mechanical control surface mixing system is to be developed further by putting it under stress-displacement analysis and also normal modes of vibration analysis. ABAQUS is used for the finite element modeling of the system. Each part of the system undergoes processes which are partition, meshing, assembly, and finally the analyses. Justification for several of the processes such as the element type chosen and meshing quality is clearly stated. Analytical analyses are then performed to validate the result obtained from the finite element method.
