This essay will assess the current industry of Australian Newspapers. This industry is a complex structure which heavily influences Australia’s economics, politics and technology. What is of particular interest is that with this influence, the industry is controlled by only a few large conglomerates. This essay will show the importance and effect of regulatory structures and policies to prevent the newspaper industry from being monopolised and the effects of monopolisation on politics and economics.
