intro Cancer has been be a large disease that has caused deaths to many organisms for thousands of decades now but only in the recent 100s of years people began to research the cellular basis of cancer and understand the reasons behind this disease. Cancer can be characterized into more than a 100 different types depending on the location of the cell abnormality in the organisms body (Kim et al. 2016). Cancer starts off with a genetic modification in one cell and then continues to rapidly multiply, causing an aggressive mass giving it the ability to take over the tissue then and travel to other parts of the body through the blood stream, this process is known as metastasis (Martinez et al. 2016). This may lead to the death of an organism as the cancer reached an uncontrollable state and is a major threat to the organism. Research has shown that there are 2 main kinds of genes that are connected to cancer the tumor-suppresser gene and ontogenesis (Lodish et al. 2000).
