The case study of Bennett’s Machine Shop was commissioned to examine the issues that was experienced from high overhead costs and low income, due to the impact of decreased sales. Issues including poor management systems, poor organisational structure, a lack of marketing strategies and skilled workers have lead to Bennett’s Machine Shop’s downfall to its current state. It is crucial for there to be clear change in the organisation to combat the issues experienced within the company. Changes including incorporating a marketing strategy can improve the company’s position in the market, while enhancing the management system by subdividing tasks into categories according to employee functions can lead to proper planning and cleanness in the workplace.
