Magnetic flux
The more field lines you cut through in this picture, and
the faster you do it, the larger the current that you
produce
As can be seen, you must keep the wire or field moving
relative to each other to generate an EMF
The wire must be cutting through the field lines or no
current is generated if the wire is going parallel to the
field lines
Current produced relative motion between the wire and
field is known as an induced current
o The phenomenon is known as electromagnetic induction
