The aim of this written assignment is for you to demonstrate your understanding of the importance of applying theoretical knowledge to real-life situations. This knowledge will assist you in planning care that will support the psychosocial well-being of others.
This assessment item addresses:
Learning Outcome 2: Apply knowledge of theories and stages of psychosocial development to explain human behaviour across the lifespan
Learning Outcome 3: Examine how health and human service professionals may promote psychosocial wellbeing
Instructions:
1. Choose one (1) case study from the two case studies provided.
2. Write an introduction that clearly contextualises your essay and identifies the aim (approx. 100 words).
3. Using appropriate scholarly literature, respond to the following questions in relation to your chosen case study:
a. Identify one (1) theory of human development that is relevant to your chosen case study and explain/discuss the importance of this theory in understanding the situation described. (400-450 words)
b. Identify one (1) risk factor and one (1) protective factor that has impacted on the person from your chosen case study. Explain/discuss how each factor could influence the outcome for this person. (400-450 words)
c. Discuss two (2) interventions that a nurse could implement to support the resilience of the person in the case study. (400-450 words)
4. Write a conclusion that summarises the overall essay (approx. 100 words).
