By collating the key points from the lecture slides, prescribed textbook (Principles of Biology by Nature Education) and recommended readings, I was able to create a clear yet comprehensive set of notes which I used to focus my study. Using these notes, I found my study in Biological Systems to be well directed and time-efficient. In addition they correlated very closely with the material examined in the mid-semester and final exams. I recommend printing the entire set of notes, binding them, then using them as an annotatable guide in conjunction with lecture capture as this worked well for me.
