The aim of this experiment is to investigate the laws that govern the swing period of a Bifilar Pendulum and to analyse the accuracy of obtained results by comparison to calculated theoretical values. The time taken for a pendulum to complete then oscillations were taken for different values of lengths along the ruler and different string lengths, and two K values were calculated by graphing and analysing the data obtained. The Two values were 56.95 ± 0.15 cm and 58.15 ± 0.15 cm, which were obtained after the elimination of the outliers present in the data. The theoretical K value was calculated to be 56.97 ± 0.07 cm, therefore only one of the calculated K values obtained from experimental data is an accepted value (56.95 ± 0.15 cm) as the difference between this value and the theoretical value is smaller than the uncertainty, whereas 58.15 ± 0.15 cm is too large to be an acceptable value. However, upon further calculations, the precision of the data obtained was 99.4% and the accuracy of the data was 82-86%, which suggests that there were little experimental errors.
