In this essay, I will explore how great texts skillfully combine sound and vision to deliver important truths in Joe Wright’s film Atonement (2007) and Pride and Prejudice (2005). These truths include themes such as the destructive power of false accusations, blurring of reality versus fiction and trauma.etc. In particular, I want to show how the typewriter helps in depicting the narrative of the film.
