Masalah Murid-Murid Sekolah Yang Berisiko Tercicir Semakin Meningkat Dari Tahun Ke Tahun

PENGENALAN Pendidikan memainkan peranan yang mustahak dalam mengubah kehidupan dan pembangunan diri seseorang. Usaha kerajaan Malaysia melalui Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia menawarkan peluang pendidikan kepada semua warganegara Malaysia tanpa sebarang diskriminasi dengan hasrat untuk merapatkan jurang pendidikan masyarakat tempatan (Asikin et al., 2022). Oleh hal yang demikian, pendidikan sekolah rendah adalah diwajibkan kepada semua kanak-kanak di Malaysia selepas pindaan kepada Akta Pendidikan 1996 (Akta 550) pada tahun 2002. Setiap kanak-kanak mempunyai hak dalam perkembangan dengan mendapatkan pendidikan formal di sekolah. Sehubungan dengan itu, pendidikan di sekolah tidak hanya menumpukan kepada perkembangan akademik, malah ia juga merangkumi pembangunan aspek lain iaitu kemahiran isaniah seperti berkomunikasi, bakat, keupayaan mental dan sebagainya. Oleh itu, sistem pendidikan Malaysia sentiasa berubah agar dapat seiring dengan zaman yang berkembang pesat. Namun, tanpa kita sedari, murid-murid pada zaman ini telah dibebani dengan silibus yang tinggi berbanding dengan zaman dahulu. Situasi ini turut memberi tekanan yang tinggi kepada murid-murid sehingga sesetengah daripada mereka enggan untuk pergi ke sekolah. Hal ini turut meningkatkan masalah murid-murid sekolah berisiko cicir.
