Blackwood coffee and chocolate was establish on 20 September 2012 by Mr Low Kok Yu which is the founder of the blackwood cafe. The first outlet are establish at Sungai Petani. Now, it also has few branches in Perlis, Kulim, Jitra, and Pulau Pinang. The idea of Blackwood was created when the owner felt that people are crave go to cafe to experience a good cup of coffee with a pastry served with it. However, Mr Low Kok Yu felt that it is rarely to find a cafe that can serve a good coffee and food.
