Lathe machine is a machine that one of the oldest industrial machines in the manufacturing industry, which rotates a part against a tool whose position it controls for cutting. This machine operated by rotating a cylindrical workpiece, commonly a metal workpiece such that a tool can cut into it to produce a uniform axial pattern. The workpiece rotates on its axis but does not move in any other direction. The cutting tool is the moving part that advances along the path of desired cut by reading the scale. When the workpiece is rotated about an axis and the tool is traversed in a definite path relative to the axis, a surface of revolution is generated.
