1. Formulate and justify an investment policy statement base on the information provided. Your policy statement must encompass all relevant objectives and constraint considerations.
2. Based on the market outlook for 2021, recommend three management strategies for managing bond and share portfolio investments. Discuss the differences between each portfolio investment strategy in detail.
3. Create a share portfolio investment strategy based on the policy statement selection. You must explain your choice of stocks for investment in your portfolio, including supporting details such as correlation, industry allocation, risk factors (beta), dividend yield, P/E ratio, and so on.
4. Choose a unit trust fund (a bond fund, a balanced fund or an equity fund) as your benchmark portfolio to compare to your portfolio investment. The benchmarks chosen must have a similar investment style to your portfolio as well as a similar level of risk.
5. Calculate the monthly historical return, average monthly return, standard deviation and coefficient of variation from 1 January 2017 to 30 June 2021 for the following:
a. Each of the stock in your portfolio.( Maximum 5 selected shares )
6. Present item (4) in graphical format (X axis = Standard Deviation; Y axis =Average Monthly Return), comment on your findings and justify the construction
of your portfolio investment.
7. Calculate the actual return for the items listed in item (4) above for the period from 1 July 2021 to 27 August 2021 .
8. Present item (6) in graphical format and comment on your performance.
9. Prepare a portfolio evaluation report by using Treynor measure, Sharpe measure and Jenson measure to Mr Jason on the evaluation of your fund performance as at 27 August 2021.
