Ali’s father, Encik Ahmad, had passed away when he was 19. Since then, Pak Cik, the brother of his mother lived together with them in the house, provided food, clothing and expenses to Ali. Later, Ali’s mother died in 2020 when he was 22 and Pak Cik continued his role in taking care of Ali. Ali was unemployed and was totally dependent on Pak Cik for his daily subsistence allowance. In 2019, Pak Cik persuaded Ali to sell his land, which he inherited from his father, to him at RM50,000. Pak Cik told Ali to seek advice from a lawyer on his offer. Ali trusted his uncle and he did not seek any advice. Ali sold the said land to Pak Cik for the amount of RM50,000 as stipulated by him. Later, Ali discovered the truth that the land was worth at least 30 times more than that amount because of minerals under the land and he wanted to set aside the contract. Advise Ali on whether he can set aside the contract and succeed in his claim.
