British Constitution

 Collin Munro- “The body of rules & arrangement concerning the government of the country”  Sir Ivor Jennings-“ If a constitution means a written document then the Great Britain has no written constitution.  Constitutional law is concerned with citizens and the states.  Administrative law on the other hand in contrast to constitutional law is concerned with law relating to administration of government institutions.  The UK has an unwritten constitution, this is to say that there is no single document known as the British constitution, instead there are several sources that is known as the constitution. In other words it is an accumulation of sources that comprises the constitution. Eg. Magna Carta 1215, Bill of Rights 1689, Acts of settlement 1700, Treaty of Union with Scotland 1706/1707, etc.  This is very different from most nations that has a single source that is known as the constitution. Eg. Malaysia, India, South Africa.  Only 3 nations without a codified constitution. UK, Israel, NZ
