FREBP Using evidence assessment. The first article chosen was a systematic review by Derry, Moore, Gaskell, Mcintyre & Wiffen (2015). This article was found using the Cochrane Library database, and is an example of level I evidence (NHMRC, 2009), as it is a systematic review that is using the information from randomised control trials (RCTs). The review, published in 2015, is an update of the article originally published in 2010, now includes 14 new and 20 additional ongoing, unpublished studies, to ensure that the information presented is still current and relevant. This article was chosen as it is a summation of numerous RCTs, that show the effectiveness of different examples of topical NSAIDs, allowing for different treatment options to be compared.
