Part A (20 marks = 20% of final mark); must be written in the third person with each article
considered separately
1. Locate 4 secondary sources of relevance to the research topic. Of the 4 sources, at least 2
must be peer reviewed journal articles (4 marks).
2. Analyse each article (separately) including a discussion of the reliability of each article, the
level of evidence to support claims made by each author, and whether logical connections are
made by each author (12 marks).
3. Include one key quote from each article, embed it in your writing and provide a pinpoint
reference by footnotes (AGLC compliant) (4 marks).
Part B (10 marks = 10% of final mark); can be written in either the third person or the first person;
consider all the articles together for the purpose of this reflection.
You are required to reflect on the usefulness of the 4 articles for your research on the research topic for
this semester. Your reflection should include, but is not limited to, a discussion on the relevancy of the
articles to the research topic and the assistance that the articles provide with developing your
contention/position.
