Through the use of deception, fraud, abduction or other forms of persuasion, people (typically those who are financially struggling) are lured from their homes to be bought, sold and transported into exploitation. Exploitation largely involves prostitution, forced labour or services, slavery, removal of organs etc. Through several documentaries and informational films on true human trafficking stories, a more in-depth understanding was achieved about the long-existing inhumane crime that many in society are unaware of. Although illegal in most countries, slavery today is a global business and a source of huge profits and crime syndicates. Regardless what the law says, criminals will always find a way to exploit the vulnerable; and likewise, the desperate will always find a way into slavery.
