Torts - First in Subject Notes - Complete Notes and Essay
These are a comprehensive set of Torts notes. Though set out quite differently from a conventional set of
notes, these are the ones I used in the exam to get 56/60. They contain example sentences and paragraphs
that an examiner would be expected to see. This style of writing should be emulated for best results.
Each of the elements account for every possible assessable factor that may be present during the problem
questions for the Exam. I would recommend printing them 2 pages to a side on paper to bring into the exam
after getting to know these notes well.
I have additionally included my Essay, of which was graded by the subject coordinator as a 34/40 (although I
lost 1.5 marks for lateness). For your essay, you should focus on coming up with a strong thesis (your own
ARGUMENT) that uses all if not more of the resources list they give you. This ended up counting for 40% of
my mark, and in combination with my exam mark, my final mark was 89 to achieve first place in Torts,
winning the Ashurst Australia Law award.
