Sample Text:
A motor is used to turn the driver gear which meshes and turns the idler gear, fluid travels around the outside of the gears not between them as their rotation prevents this. As the gears rotate carrying the fluid between the gear teeth a partial vacuum is created at the suction or inlet port forcing fluid from the reservoir into the pump. The fluid is then pushed out of the pressure or outlet port creating the required flow. If the vacuum caused by the suction port is larger than the vapor pressure of the fluid, air molecules collect and implode if there is a lower vacuum at the pressure port causing the phenomenon of cavitation which erodes the inside of the pump. In order to prevent cavitation the suction port must be larger than the pressure port which lowers the suction vacuum. This particular pump is manufactured by Powauto and is model PUKO85R. PU stands for pump; K is the pa...
