You will be required to consider the software systems used in your study and how these types of technology might apply to your work; demonstrate understanding of patterns and examples noted in prescribed references, to search for fresh ideas under peer-to-peer processes, and to extend your actual IT-enabled practices in demonstrated ways. You will study and critique one major change affecting your Field of Practice. For instance, in civil/construction/structural engineering including architecture, the Building Information Management (BIM) system is now mandated for use in all UK government contracts. Conditions To complete this module, a student must extend the intended learning outcomes of all other subjects or courses taken by him/her prior to, or concurrent with, his/her internship, and rely substantially on his/her personal independent engagement with prescribed tasks.. While employer-sponsored attendance at a short course or participation in a formal development program may be taken into account, such commitments will need to be supplemented by developmental self-directed initiatives approved by the University.
