Stage 2 Physics SHE Task - Research a Technology: Solid State Batteries
Solid-State batteries (SSBs) are considered to be the next level of power storage and discharge by scientists and many enthusiasts that work with battery operated devices. With the introduction of Lithium-Ion batteries into mainstream battery-operated devices, they have powered our electronics, but more power and reliability is being demanded for new and upcoming technologies. As a solution, the scientific community has introduced new technology for the batter; an all-solid-state electrolyte. The solid-state electrolyte promises to increase safety, energy density, and produce a battery with significantly higher life spans and short charging times. However, with current solid-state battery technology, it is yet to be implemented and applied into mainstream products, which was a challenge within of itself due to their current limitations. The development of the solid state has been tedious work that is still being research and funded to this day. These developments will allow for the solid-state electrolytes in solid state batteries to overtake lithium-ion batteries for the average consumer and provide substantial benefits to the consumer market and to society.
This report contains valuable and in-depth information regarding Solid State Batteries. The information is related to the Development and Application aspects of SHE concepts.
This is a A+ level of work and a great place to start your own SHE report.
