How Many Germs Grow on Surface
High Temperature:
In high
temperatures, the
growth is slowed
and the
microorganisms
are damaged as
enzymes and
proteins are
mutated. The cell
membrane stop
working as the lipid
bilayer melts so
much it is unable to
be replaced.
Cold:
In low
temperatures, the
enzymes work
slowly and the
membrane
solidifies. By deep
freezing, liquid
water is made
available for cells.
The best
temperature levels
range from 0 to 75
degrees Celsius,
depending on the
type of
microorganism
