This experiment will be looking at conservation of mass and the chemical reaction that occurs when mixing sodium hydroxide and copper sulfate together, sodium carbonate and copper sulfate together and ammonia and copper sulfate together, and seeing what chemical reaction when mixing these chemical solutions with each other. The purpose of this experiment is to demonstrate that mass is conserved in a chemical reaction. When doing the experiment list the evidence that chemical reactions took place once the solutions were combined together, and to compare the total masses before and after mixing, to state the law of conservation of mass and to assess whether or not your results to support this law.
