Sample text The moon outshone the two candles that flickered feebly by the bedside, its beams making their way through the window. In a chair beside the bed sat a man, his face in shadow as he bent over a sketch. As the moon’s light shifted, it illuminated one hundred pencilled lines that pieced themselves together to form a sleeping face, resting on its side. Joseph Severn looked up from his notebook to see the subject of the sketch, John Keats, resting against pillows. Confined for months within a small room, the poet’s body had been wasted by illness, while his expression was sombre, mirroring the withering primroses that sat in a vase on his bedside table. Within his tight grip was a pen, held upright before a piece of parchment scattered with words. Only the most astute onlooker could have noticed the way the pen trembled, hovering a centimetre above the paper.
