Throughout the term we explored this idea through our work and final assessment. The projects that used this idea of freedom best, was a group performance with the stimulus of “sorry”, Arjunas and Hotel Argato. Situations and ideas are the backbone of play building for without ideas that lead into situations there would be no play, the play would be someone simply just sitting there doing nothing. The group performance with a situational stimulus allowed us to have the freedom to explore ideas which lead into the situation. We were given a stimulus which was the word “sorry” in which we then used to create a performance.
