Mitosis is a type of nuclear division which divides the parent cell into two genetically identical daughter cells after the process. The chromosomes that involve in Mitosis are called Autosome, which defined as all the chromosomes in all types of cells except the sex chromosomes. Chromosomes are first observed by a Swiss Botanist called Carl Wilhelm von Nägeli and named by a German Anatomist called Heinrich Wilhelm Gottfried von Waldeyer-Hartz in the year of 1888. Afterwards, Walther Flemming is the German Biologist that named the process of cell division as Mitosis from the Greek word which mean by thread. Mitosis is an important process for every organism to ensure their growth, cells replacement, tissues repairment, and asexual reproduction of some single-cellular cell such as bacteria. Without Mitosis, organisms may not able to continue their lives longer as the dead cells in their body cannot be repaired or replaced. Thus, some metabolism function may be ceased and cause the whole-body function affected continuously.
