4 Found helpful • 20 Pages • Essays / Projects • Year: Pre-2021
For many years, scientists and engineers have been examining the flow of fluid using different techniques and the study of fluid flow has kept its importance even in the modern day. Flow visualisation is an experimental means of investigating the flow patterns around a surface of a body of fluid. This interdisciplinary field is essential in the design and development of transportation such as airplanes and naval ships. In order to closely examine how a fluid acts around a given body, we must visualise the nature of the flow. The objective of the laboratory is to understand the theory behind fluid flow lines, flow conditions and features through the observations of fluid flow.
