Work-life conflict has been defined to occur when energy and time needs for work and life roles become incompatible, that makes participation in both work and family roles increasingly difficult (Fiksenbaum, 2014). Pisarski (2008) outlined three forms of work-life conflict: time-based, strain-based and behaviour-based conflict. Time-based conflict describes competing in time requirements for many roles.
