This is my Everest Report. Extracts: The main purpose of this report is to reflect upon personal experiences and team experiences from the two Harvard Business School Everest simulations programmed by Forio Business Simulations, and consequentially, the opinions I have developed about team functions and team dynamics. These have been discussed and analysed in accordance to our team performance and to theoretical research. Reaching the summit of Mount Everest is, without a doubt, an enormous feat. After watching the video by James P. Clarke, a high altitude mountaineer, in the preparation phase of the Everest simulation, it occurred to me that such an achievement does not occur singularly – it is a result of having a strong minded, co-operative team alongside you for the full length of the journey. My team consisted of myself – the photographer, Rohan – the leader, Daniel – the environmentalist, Hugo – the physician, Del – the marathoner and Baney – the observer. Upon reflecting on my own team, we were strong minded and task-focused, though, we encountered some issues which hindered this admirable collective quality.
