CRIM1010 Assessment 2: Annotated Bibliography (Topic: Trafficking)
CRIM1010 - Introduction to Criminology
2 Found helpful • 4 Pages • Essays / Projects • Year: Pre-2021
Brief description: Choosing one topic of interest from the “Crime Types” list on the AIC website, use the basic research skills (taught in class) to identify 8 sources that would be relevant in explaining the causes of the ‘crime’. Note, if you are interested in a crime type not listed, you can probably choose this, but you must discuss this first with your tutor to make sure it is feasible. Tip: picking a very specific crime type may make it quicker to find useful articles, eg rather than ‘fraud’ pick ‘identity fraud’. Each citation (referenced appropriately) will be followed by a brief (approx. 125 word) descriptive and evaluative paragraph to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy and quality of the sources cited. You must also write a paragraph describing the method you took for finding these 8 sources (approx. 200 words). Key requirements for this task: 1) Identify a crime type that you will focus on via the AIC website 2) Conduct literature search to identify 8 relevant articles 3) Write an annotated bibliography for each of these articles 4) Include a paragraph describing the method used in searching the literature at the beginning of your assessment
