17 Pages Complete Study Notes Year: Pre-2021

These study notes are condensed for final revision prior to the exam. They utilise images from the prescribed textbook (for trimester 1, 2016) and attempt to serve as an aid in knowing what to cover for the final exam. Topics covered include: Topic 1: Introduction and Science of Psychology (pp. 1) Tooic 2: Research Methods (pp. 1) Topic 3: Consciousness (pp. 2) Topic 4: Biological Psychology (pp. 3) Topic 5: Human Development (pp. 7) Topic 6: Learning (pp. 9) Topic 7: Memory (pp. 10) Topic 8: Sensation and Perception (pp. 13) Topic 9: Emotion and Motivation (pp. 16) Theoretically, these notes should act as supplementation for lecture content. However, as indicated to the cohort of T1, 2016, the final exam questions come from the instructors manual test bank, which is based on all material covered by the prescribed text. UNE operate using a trimester teaching model /academic calendar. Therefore, nine topics is standard if one topic (I.E. Biopsychology) is covered over multiple weeks. The remaining chapters of the prescribed textbook not covered in PSYC101 are covered in PSYC102 (Introductory Psychology II) Pro Tip: These notes are most effective once you have attempted the end of chapter 'complete review system' questions. Any content presented in this document is the combination of work or knowledge by the textbook authors and presentingUNE teaching staff. The uploader takes no responsibility or credit for the work or images presented, except where summaries are made of larger concepts. Images used may be available from an online image search and are not necessarily taken from the text.
