For this task, we are to investigate and determine how full a rainwater tank would be after a month of rain. This is to be completed whilst using 2 various combinations of the chosen location we desire, building type, and rainwater tank type (both in terms of its measurement size). The method for calculating our findings is to firstly calculate the area of the roof of our building. Following this, we are expected to find the volume of rainwater that would fall onto the roof by using the average rainfall for our chosen month and then multiplying it with the total area of the roof. We are to then find the volume of the water tank and convert it to find its total capacity to know the tank’s ability of how much water it can hold. This is to be done with using a variety of units such as cm/mm. Apart from that, we are to also investigate how long it would take for an average family to use up the water tank and what are some of the alternations for this. For example, investigate what errors could impact our result.
