Design of a Water Distribution Network Project
ENB280 - Hydraulic Engineering
2 Found helpful • 53 Pages • Essays / Projects • Year: Pre-2021
This report outlines the design for a local water distribution network. Another three networks will be handled by other groups within the company. The difference between these networks is their elevation, fire demand classification and daily demand variation. Specific guidelines have been given for the design as dictated by the division and subgroup number, including the various lengths and diameters of the pipes within the network. Assumptions and preliminary calculations provide the basis for the design, with extensive analysis provided through the use of EPANET, a computer-modelling tool. This report will therefore focus on the design of network B, outlining the design guidelines and assumptions associated with the network, the analysis and modelling of the system, and a discussion of the results obtained.
