It is important to consider the inevitable process of globalization, which is associated with theories of space-time compression and technological determinism. There are criticisms, however, of globalization that portrays the importance of global media flows enabling awareness on an international scale, leading to a discussion of the theory of neoliberalism, and the impact of the Internet.
