He explores the impact of cruelty on individuals by the use of dramatic imagery to inform the readers about irony of glory war and how the young innocent men died during the time period. It uses a variety of concepts such as how the soldiers were treated less than a normal human being, the misleading information of to die for your country and how the image of destruction of war is visualized into the human’s mind. This is highlighted in the poems ‘Anthem for Doomed Youth’, ‘Dulce Et Decorum Est’ and ‘Futility’. The cruelty of war knows no boundaries. It states that the soldiers are treated less than a normal human being during war and language techniques visualize the scene that is used in the poems.
