The story was set during the great depression in United State it was set in a farmland of Salinas valley a little town located near Soledad. The essay that will be discussed is if George was justified in killing his best friend Lennie Smell’s?. This essay will examine Georges action at the end of the novella and prove that George was justified in the killing of Lennie. Firstly Lennie would have died anyway and George was in fact helping him. Lennie was holding George back from doing more with his life and it helped prevent future harm because Lennie would have undoubtably caused to others
