The question we were given was along the lines of "How do the composers of the novel, Catcher in the Rye, and the film, Into The Wild, effectively explore the concept of the Human Condition, and how do the composers relate to the issues of the audience?". This is actually my speech transcript, but it is easy to reorganise it into a more appropriate format for an essay. I received a 14/15 mark for this transcript (mark included a supporting slideshow as well). The speech mainly explores the theme of death and loneliness in 'Catcher in the Rye' and 'Into the Wild', specifically isolation from a materialistic society, and how the composers effectively forged an understanding between character and viewer.
