To what extent does continuity and/or change impact the development of personal and social identity in individuals Executive summary: Personal identity refers to how individuals view themselves, social identity is how others view an individual and cultural identity is the feeling of belonging to a group. The media plays a crucial role in developing and forming ideas and stereotypes of certain ethnicities in its ability to influence ideas, opinions, attitudes and images of the world.
