INTRO: "Evolution, by definition, means a change in living organisms over a long period of time." Over the years an ideas and proposals of concepts have accumulated, with each accounting for such a change within organisms. Theories of various scientists and philosophers including: Aristotle, Lamarck, Alfred Wallace, Charles Darwin, Gregor Mendel as well as more modern scientists - Gould and Eldridge. Over time those theories concerning evolution have developed due to advancements technology. With modern technology comes the ability to change how scientists consider evolutionary relationships between organisms, as it opens up new means to discover links and comparisons between modern species and linking them to common ancestors, thereby outlining the evolutionary paths of a series of organisms.
