Drawing on a range of academic sources, students will be required to provide a 300 word plan and 1200 word critical response to one of four research and writing exercise topics. A key component of this assessment is for students to illustrate their ability to plan and gather research to support a scholarly argument in relation to the issues raised by the topics provided. In their response students will be required to draw on a minimum of 8 academic sources to support their argument. These may include references to books, journal articles, government reports and sentencing judgments.
