In the fashion industry we believe in setting a high standard of corporate social responsibility (CSR) for both us, as a company, and those around us to adhere to. As one of the 8,000 businesses that are signatories of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) we seek to continually maintain and revaluate how our CSR works in relation to fulfilling the principles the UNGC sets out as well as maintaining a positive CSR with our stakeholders. OBJECTIVES In this submission we have put forward two recommendations to become more compliant with principles one and eight of the Global Compact. We outline what measures are currently in place as well as discussing the benefits, challenges and implications for key stakeholders if H&M were to implement them.
